Community Safety Partnership Plan 2008 - 2011

Introduction

The plan sets out 14 priorities under headings of Crime, Disorder, Personal Safety and Public Perceptions. It then sets out the objectives and targets for each priority for the next three years, 2008 - 2011.

The Chichester District Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) is a statutory partnership formed as a result of the1998 Crime and Disorder Act. Its primary role is to conduct an annual Strategic Assessment of crime and disorder in the district and produce a Partnership Plan to address the identified priorities.

The plan sets out 14 priorities under headings of Crime, Disorder, Personal Safety and Public Perceptions. It then sets out the objectives and targets for each priority for the next three years, 2008 - 2011, and the actions which it intends to take in the first year of the plan. It identifies the delivery structures which will deliver the plan with responsibilities, resources and expected performance quantified. The plan also recognises not every issue can be a priority but that monitoring of certain issues and continuing support for ongoing projects are necessary as an infrastructure to reduce overall crime and disorder. The plan also sets out how the CDRP will monitor and review the progress of the plan.
